چکیده
Background Morphea is a subtype of limited scleroderma characterized by atrophic changes. There are multiple treatment modalities for morphea, but all have success to restore atrophy. Objectives To evaluate the efficacy and safety paltelet rich plasma (PRP) skin changes in morphea such as (skin atrophy, dyspigmentation adnexal destruction) ultrasound Localized Scleroderma Cutaneous Assessment Tool (LoSCAT). Methods Nine patients (21 lesions) were diagnosed clinically histopathology. Intradermal PRP was injected into lesion once weekly 12 sessions. The disease severity damage evaluated at baseline, after last session (3 months later) 6 follow up using Echogenicity layer thickness measured musculoskeletal with high frequency linear probe. Results mean age our 21.8 ± 8.4 years (range: 11 36 years). duration lesions 5.96 2.4 three 20 LoSCAT score showed significant improvement reduction from 13 7.3 7.33 6.8 therapeutic endpoint (at 3 months) reaching 6.44 7.1 p-value = 0.008 0.014 respectively. activity index (LoSAI) also lowering both timepoints =0.02 0.04 difference size between healthy control areas US (1.77± 1.13 vs 3.29 1.72; p 0.007) has been vanished month; p= 0.17 p=0.53). positive correlation assessed 0.01. As regard adverse effects reported having pain during injection, transient edema face 4 (45%) only 2 erythema. fig 1. Conclusion Autologous safe technique great aesthetic outcomes filling contour defects correction hyper hypopigmentation addition softening indurated lesions. متن کاملComparative Study of Four Platelet-Rich Plasma Methods for Preparing Platelet Concentrates
Background: Platelet preparations have been used for a wide variety of clinical applications such as hemorrhage, tissue engineering and cellular therapy. Platelet concentrates can be prepared by the apheresis method or from the whole blood using the Buffy-coat or Platelet-rich plasma methods. The purpose of this study was to compare four variations of platelet-rich plasma method based on double...
